I was having issues with sysutils/py-salt until I upgraded and have been running a local build of 1.11.3 since I put the ticket in. I'll do a build tomorrow with 1.11.5 and let you know.
I see no issues with 1.11.5 and basic saltstack functionality still works. The only change to the Makefile was the version.
