Hi Timur,

Please see this review. Let me know if you have any feedback. If you don't want to maintain an rc (non-RELEASE) port for Samba I would be willing.

Thanks

Hi, Mark!

I appreciate you effort, but there are so many things wrong with this port that I don't know where to start. I've listed some of them in the comment on the Phabricator, but that's only tip of the iceberg.

Please, get some patience and wait until I'll commit the finished port.

Feel free to use your own overlay port for yourself meanwhile.

The main issue with the review was that I started with samba46 as the base for the copy and not samba47. As it currently stands the version in the review builds and the options work. Considering that it's a carbon copy of the previous samba47 port except the pkg-plist and dependency bumps, "so many things wrong" is a gross exaggeration of the situation.

You seem to have an inability to cooperate with others in the project. I will remind you that you do not own any port in the FreeBSD ports tree and if you find it too difficult to work with others you're welcome to walk away from the project entirely.
