The index (scripts) listing on the left hand side is NON-adjustable. When opening deskutils/gucharmap, all that is seen are the first 3 to 4 characters of the scripts in the left hand column. So it impossible to choose a script on sight. You are forced to scroll through the list. This is just plain wrong, and wasn't a problem in the past. Older versions provided a "grip" in the middle (vertically) of the vertical bar that separates the 2 columns. Looking at the source, I'm inclined to suspect the use of cairo. As applications I use that are built against poppler don't seem to exhibit this loss of use/ability. Thank you for all your time, and consideration. --Chris
It seems that I am unable to reproduce the issue. Yes, gucharmap starts with a narrow side pane and it is hard to move the mouse to the point which can be used to adjust it. The point is not easy to find, but it is still adjustable.
Is this still a problem?
