Description Dries Michiels freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2018-05-03 17:48:17 UTC
Can a default init script for bhyve virtual machines be added to the base system to start them on boot. One configuration file eg, bhyve.conf with a layout similar to jail.conf. This file contains options per virtual machine and global options that can be used as default if not specified.

There are several ports to manage bhyve vm's with, such as vm-bhyve, bhyve-rc, and other third party software I can not seem to locate right now, chyves?

At this time it would not be advantages to add this type of functionality to base.

the only way i can see this happening is if we adopt one of the above mentioned ports into base
