Hi, thank you for the patch and sorry for that it took so long - Rome wasn't built in one day or so. Meanwhile the latest version of py-cchardet is at 2.1.4.

Would it be ok for you if I update your patch to 2.1.4 and commit it then together with some minor fixes? The latter ones would be:

- Remove NO_ARCH as the package contains beside Python code also a shared lib (cchardet/_cchardet.so) that is architecture dependent
- Add a post-install target for stripping the shared lib
