Description Michael Siegel 2018-07-14 10:15:37 UTC
The manual page for 'pkg info' should clearly state that 'pkg info' displays information about installed packages only.

The NAME section currently just says: "pkg info – display information for packages".

The DESCRIPTION reads: "pkg info is used for displaying information for packages".

And while we're at it, I think it should rather be "information _about_ packages".

Thanks,

msi

It displays info about installed packages and also about local package files:
pkg info -F ./mylocalpackage-version.txz
