Description Ronald F. Guilmette 2019-06-08 01:32:05 UTC
The man page for avahi-daemon(8) DESCRIPTION secction makes reference to the following pathname:

/usr/local/usr/local/etc/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf

That appears to be incorrect. The correct pathname is, I believe:

/usr/local/etc/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf

You have to tell us which avahi port you have installed.
Comment 2 Ronald F. Guilmette 2019-06-16 22:40:09 UTC
My apologies.

The answer is:

avahi-app-0.7_2

This has been fixed in r529889, it just wasn't merged from head to the quarterly branch 2020Q4.
Comment 4 Mateusz Piotrowski freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2020-10-27 08:18:36 UTC
Oh, wait, I committed the fix on 2020-03-30 so this bug is also in the latest quarterly branch.

Thanks for the report anyway :) it's great to see people care about things. Cheers!
