Description Jost Menke 2019-08-19 09:15:24 UTC
I tried to install 13.0-CURRENT-powerpc-powerpc64-20190801-r350491 on a Powermac 7,2 (G5), but it freezes in the boot process. Last console message is:

cryptosoft0: <software crypto> on nexus0

boot -v gives me:

crypto: cryptosoft0 registers alg 31 flags 0 maxoplen 0
crypto: cryptosoft0 registers alg 40 flags 0 maxoplen 0
crypto: cryptosoft0 registers alg 39 flags 0 maxoplen 0
crypto: cryptosoft0 registers alg 38 flags 0 maxoplen 0

then it stops.

Bug persists in r351363.

I found out that a quad port ethernet card which was built into the system caused the problem. The card works fine under Debian though. Seems to be an old problem somebody already posted a couple of years ago on the mailing list: https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-ppc/2012-August/005801.html
