Description Osamu Matsuda 2019-08-29 05:35:44 UTC
Hello.

I'm using cups 2.2.12 on FreeBSD 11.3-RELEASE-p3 with GENERIC amd64 kernel,
and am having the following problems.

1) "lpoptions" doesn't allow to have printer instances more than or equal
to two. If one tries to create two or more instances with
"lpoptions", only the last specified instance survives.

2) "lpstat -v" doesn't show any of existing instances. It only lists
the printers without any of additionally created instances.
(just "lp" not "lp/foo", for example)

3) When a default printer is specified as "lpoptions -d xxx", all
the printer instances for any printer are deleted.

All above issues don't appear in the previous versions up to cups 2.2.11.

Is this still a problem?

Thank you for your message.
I'm sorry I forgot to mention here, but the problem has been solved since around cups-2.4.1.
