Moin moin What backend are you using in konqueror -- and did you upgrade to Qt 5.13 already or is that still Qt 5.12? mfg Tobias
(In reply to Tobias C. Berner from comment #1) Moin :) KDE Frameworks 5.59.0 Qt 5.12.2 (built against 5.12.2) The xcb windowing system
(In reply to Alexander Vereeken from comment #2) If you check in the settings of konqueror, which browser engine is used? Webengine or Webkit? mfg Tobias
(In reply to Tobias C. Berner from comment #3) WebEngine.
I'd recommend you use Falkon instead (will use the same backends, and is much more heavily tested on FBSD right now). It looks like the URL isn't getting passed to the start page at all. Well, bear in mind that when you pick "Start Page" then a text box is shown next to the drop-down -- it **doesn't** use the Home Page URL below. When I fill in something in StartPage, (e.g. google.de) then when starting Konqueror it offers to open the page in Falkon :S Canceling crashes Konq. I can edit `~/.config/konquerorrc` to get things back.
Hmm, after setting up DuckDuckGo as startpage and search engine Konqueror starts now with with the page "https://duckduckgo.com/?q=text%2Fhtml&t=kde&ia=web" , i guess better than nothing.
Moin moin I'll close this for now. If you want a KDE Browser, use Falkon If you want a KDE Filemanager, use Dolphin Please feel free to reopen, if there is anything you think should be done from our side :) mfg Tobias
