Moin moin

Can you make sure you are not simply running out of memory?

Mfg Tobias

How much memory is needed?

system has 32GB RAM and 1x 4GB swap partition and 2 x 16GB swapfiles.

Nothing about OOM in /var/log/messages
Comment 3 Tobias C. Berner freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2019-12-18 16:27:23 UTC
Is it a release or debug build (the latter is known to not work)?
Comment 4 tech-lists 2019-12-18 17:28:57 UTC
(In reply to Tobias C. Berner from comment #3)

release/debug of which?

poudriere jail is 12-stable
the port isn't being built with special options, just the defaults.

The selection options are: ALSA, PULSEAUDIO and SNDIO. ALSA is selected (the default)

There are no debug option in the port thatq I can see and I'm not using debug options in poudriere
Comment 5 Tobias C. Berner freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2019-12-18 17:40:44 UTC
I just built it successfully in a 12.1 poudriere.

My best guess still is, that you ran out of memory :)

I'm trying a bulk run again after:

1. upgrading host to r355904
2. upgrading the jail to r355906
3. running a poudriere pkgclean -A

will report results here
Comment 7 tech-lists 2019-12-20 12:04:24 UTC
built some 1200 ports successfully. No OOM/swap errors

Thought this kind of thing poudriere was meant to avoid?

anyway, sorry for the noise.
