Description John C. Archambeau 2020-02-13 00:38:48 UTC
This issue manifests itself regardless of drive or hardware. It's been consistent on both of my HP Microserver G7 N54Ls and my Lenovo Thinkserver TS430 under FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE.

1. Install FreeBSD.
2. Reboot.

Machine either hands at booting or boots to a boot error.

Workaround;

1. Boot FreeDOS
2. fdisk <drive number> /mbr
3. Reboot.

Please, can you reproduce this with an installer for a more recent release?

> 1. Install FreeBSD.

UFS or ZFS?
