HP EliteBook 8570p with integral Chicony HP HD webcam. virtualbox-ose 5.2.34_1 on FreeBSD-CURRENT r359750. Guest environment: * Windows 10 build 1909 * Sonix driver 6.0.1114.19 for the webcam – presumably this driver: <https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/ScopedViewInline.aspx?updateid=4442d448-1213-4fb4-8d71-c5ffb34331ae> If the Chicony webcam is enabled in the guest, and if (for example) I attempt to use some features of Microsoft Teams, then the guest seems prone to crashing.

Created attachment 213420 [details] Crash with SteelSeries Siberia 350 USB gaming headset In this case I refrained from using the integral Chicony webcam. Instead, whilst running Teams I: 1. connected the SteelSeries headset to the HP notebook 2. connected the USB device to the guest 3. used the VirtualBox status bar to enable audio input.
Created attachment 213431 [details] Linux crash, Waterfox Classic, Talky This crash occurred with a Manjaro Linux guest and (slightly outdated) Waterfox Classic 2020.03.1 whilst attempting to use the integrated webcam, and audio input (without the SteelSeries headset), for Talky chat i.e. <https://talky.io/> Side note: the thought of Waterfox Classic arose from <https://github.com/MrAlex94/Waterfox/issues/1513>, which I might resolve as invalid when (eventually) I can test on a physical machine running Windows 10.
Created attachment 213739 [details] Attempted to use the integral webcam with 5.2.34 Tried to use SteelSeries Siberia 350, not detected by Teams, so I performed a soft disconnect. Tried to use the integral webcam, crash.

HDDs here for internal and external storage. With the resulting slowness, I have not been inclined to progress this bug report. I might review after I get a faster computer, with an SSD, plus maybe an external SSD for most of my VirtualBox guests (including Windows). In any case, it'll be interesting to review after bug 271146 is fixed (7.0.10 or later); there's a USB aspect.
