Created attachment 213846 [details] "devel/kio-extras" build log via poudriere FreeBSD 11.3-RELEASE-p8 amd64 Attempting to build the "devel/kio-extras" port fails when the default version of 'samba' is set to "samba411" <net/samba411> with this error message: "Ignoring: Invalid version of samba: 4.11". This is turn causes other ports dependent on it to also fail to build. I have attached the poudriere build log for this port.

I have that idea that after the port landed in the ports tree I/we need to give it at least couple of weeks to see that it's not completely broken and only then add it to the defaults. Seems most of the people don't share such a cautious approach. Well, port seems to work, so it was added to the defaults list.
Thank you very much. I am actually in the process of building the port now. At this point, everything seems fine. Off-topic, but I was wondering when we could expect to see Samba 4.12.x make its debut. I did notice you updated to 4.11.8 already. That was quick.
