Description Ed Maste freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2020-09-07 00:06:55 UTC
When ZFS is chosen in the installer it tries to set the vfs.zfs.min_auto_ashift sysctl, which does not exist after the OpenZFS import

This does exist now, you should not see that message if the zfs module is loaded.

Observed the same error message while trying to install os on NVME drive.
What is the root cause of this issue ?

The installer you are using might have a broken zfs module that failed to load. Check your download checksums/reflash the USB stick/do a clean build/try a different snapshot/etc.

It's easy to reproduce it if you using mfsBSD, and run bsdinstall.
