When ZFS is chosen in the installer it tries to set the vfs.zfs.min_auto_ashift sysctl, which does not exist after the OpenZFS import +----------------Error: sysctl------------------+ | sysctl: unknown oid 'vfs.zfs.min_auto_ashift' | +-----------------------------------------------+ | < OK > | +-----------------------------------------------+
(In reply to Ed Maste from comment #0) This does exist now, you should not see that message if the zfs module is loaded.
This was due to a local issue, zfs.ko on my install media was corrupt
Created attachment 235214 [details] Obeserved unknown oid 'vfs.zfs.min_auto_ashift'
Observed the same error message while trying to install os on NVME drive. What is the root cause of this issue ?
(In reply to Hermes T K from comment #4) The installer you are using might have a broken zfs module that failed to load. Check your download checksums/reflash the USB stick/do a clean build/try a different snapshot/etc.
It's easy to reproduce it if you using mfsBSD, and run bsdinstall.
