Description Dennis Clarke 2021-06-10 17:06:16 UTC
On 14.0-CURRENT #0 main-n247138-903526542ac: Thu Jun 3 11:32:52 UTC 2021

I see that net/libpcap fails to build due to a trivial warning :

jar# uname -apKU
FreeBSD jar 14.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT #0 main-n247138-903526542ac: Thu Jun 3 11:32:52 UTC 2021 root@releng1.nyi.freebsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/GENERIC amd64 amd64 1400018 1400018
jar#

after a portsnap fetch and extract cycle I see :

jar# make

jar#

The silly trick is to use GNU bison here with :

# setenv YACC '/usr/local/bin/bison'

Then make clean and make

jar# make

Silly but that solves that. I guess a dependency on GNU bison may address this.

net/libpcap has USES=bison defined, and by default it uses bison from ports tree. You can check that running `make build-depends-list` on /usr/ports/net/libpcap and it should show devel/bison as a listed dependency.

This seems to be a local issue
