Hello, context: stable/13 The COMMON ITEMS: section in /usr/src/UPDATING makes no mention of etcupdate. Please can we have the mentions/examples of mergemaster +switches changed to etcupdate (+equivalent switches) and also mention what to do if etcupdate has never been run on the system before (etcupdate extract)

(In reply to Graham Perrin from comment #2) It's not fixed in the context it was reported under (stable/13) [...] To rebuild everything and install it on the current system. ----------------------------------------------------------- # Note: sometimes if you are running current you gotta do more than # is listed here if you are upgrading from a really old current. <make sure you have good level 0 dumps> make buildworld make buildkernel KERNCONF=YOUR_KERNEL_HERE make installkernel KERNCONF=YOUR_KERNEL_HERE [1] <reboot in single user> [3] mergemaster -Fp [5] make installworld mergemaster -Fi [4] make delete-old [6] <reboot> [...] this is from stable/13 sources fetched 5 mins ago (1636 UTC+0 30th Dec 2021) it *is* fixed in -current but it needs to be MFC'd
(In reply to tech-lists from comment #3) My bad. Apologies.
