Created attachment 226206 [details] patch for math/maxima I can install latest maxima (5.45.1) to FreeBSD/amd64 11.4. So I made the patch. Also, I checked by poudriere. See maxima-5.45.1_1.log shown as attachment.
Created attachment 226207 [details] log of poudriere It's gziped log of poudriere. Sorry, size of plain log was over the limitation.
(In reply to satosi.kimura from comment #0) Thanks for submitting an update to this port. Some quick responses: - PORTREVISION is not needed on updating (increasing) PORTVERSION, so you can just remove it. - Do you want to be the maintainer of this port? - If possible, please set your name at https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=account so we can use it in `git commit --author`
Created attachment 226215 [details] modified patch to math/maxima #1 > so you can just remove it. I see. Now, I upload modified patch.
(In reply to Li-Wen Hsu from comment #2) > Do you want to be the maintainer of this port? I cannot decide now. I'll consider with reading https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/contributing/ports-contributing.html#maintain-port and https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/porters-handbook/ #0 > See maxima-5.45.1_1.log shown as attachment. (In reply to satosi.kimura from comment #5) Sorry for the delay, this patch works. I'll commit it soon. If possible, please set your name in https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=account so we can use it for `git commit --author`, thanks!
The port is now at version 5.46.0, so this patch is not needed any more. (In reply to satosi.kimura from comment #0) I am sorry that your patch has not been used to update the port when it was needed: unfortunately, as FreeBSD is a project run by volunteers, sometimes we have only little time and things such as this can happen. Please don't get discourage: all patches are always welcome. (In reply to Li-Wen Hsu from comment #7) I re-assign the bug to me because I am closing it, see also https://wiki.freebsd.org/Bugzilla/TriageTraining
