Thanks for submitting this.

Could you clarify why you chose DISTVERSION 0.3-dev and not the latest stable release at http://pldaniels.com/altermime/, 0.3.10?  Also, the last version that was in the tree before it was removed was 0.3.11.a1?  Is this a different program with the same name?  We probably should add PORTEPOCH=1 if we use either 0.3-dev or 0.3.10, since we are going backwards in versions.  Also, the # Created by lines are deprecated and not being added to new ports.

That version seems to have been maintained by the previous mantainer, there are also several repos on GitHub that provides several bugfixes and enhancements (or at least claim to do so).

Debian also carries a few patches
