Avoid having to populate GL_COMMIT by switching to NVIDIA's GitHub mirror/old-home. Keeping current WWW as that's where the development happens (issues/merge-requests).

I don't think this is necessary, we can use the freedesktop gitlab tarball.

I don't care either way, if you prefer this, then go ahead.

Broken checksum due to recompression or index abbreviation size isn't specific to GitHub but also happens with GitLab, Gitea and sourcehut. Following comment 1 suggestion would help but suboptimal as GitLab injects unique hash into URLs of non-automatic files.

Anyway, obsolete after ports 16bde072b16d.
