diff between ports erlang and erlang/otp git repo

Currently the erlang-mode erlang.el file is broken with the current version of emacs and emacs-devel in ports. The issue pertains to xref. Here is the closed pull request:

https://github.com/erlang/otp/pull/5323

I replaced the contents of /usr/local/lib/erlang/lib/tools-3.5.1/emacs/erlang.el with the committed changes and it fixed erlang-mode in emacs. Can we get the fixed erlang.el file added to the port?

hi courtney, thanks for reporting this. Its been a while so do we need to update this still?
Can you give some info on how to test it, or confirm if its still needed?

In future how should this be kept up to date?

Hello,

Unfortunately I am not using emacs anymore so I cannot be of help with this issue anymore.
