For example bug#258051 was never auto-assigned to me despite its subject beginning with a correct port name audio/calf-lv2.

I think this is because of the word "12.2/amd64" present in the subject that got it confused.

But if the subject begins with a full port name - it should always be auto-assigned to the maintainer of that port.
