I havew the same problem with the i386 installer on VirtualBox.
Hi, this might be a partial duplicate of an earlier bug. (In reply to Paul Floyd from comment #0) > … CURRENT … If I recall correctly, some of what is selectable (in the installer) is simply not available; not applicable. Selectors are quite generic.
I see all of the optional components here http://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/amd64/14.0-CURRENT/ Are they not the ones that the installer is failing to fetch?
Has anyone tried to reproduce this? In the git history the dist fetch was refactored in commit 5a4dffac60014e883092ed7f133c8ecd198f2b24 in May 2021
Thank you for the report and the screenshots. I had the same problem some month ago (I forgot if on hardware or VM, similar to your configuration), now it seems solved (probably by the commit you pointed). However, please could you reinstall avoiding "auto UFS"?, I re-had the problem with the fetching some day ago, solved restarting the VM and with "Manual" partitioning.

The last few times I've done installs this all worked properly.
