Created attachment 232183 [details] Screenshot: example A In some situations: using the scroll bar of a sidebar to scroll to foot of the _bar_ fails to reveal the _content_ at the foot of the sidebar. Example A ========= At <https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/> (short HTML) when a person points to most links in the sidebar, the partially obscured link to 'FreeBSD Glossary' can become completely obscured (by, for example, the URL hint that's integral to Firefox). The link to 'Colophon' is completely invisible. After scrolling one bar (for the sidebar) to its fullest extent, it's necessary to _also_ scroll a second bar (farthest from the sidebar) to reveal the sidebar content that's above the standard page footer.
(In reply to Graham Perrin from comment #0) > Example A On closer inspection, now: there's a 'pause', which feels buggy. Maybe most noticeable when using, for example, the scroll ring around a trackball. With constant rotation of the ring, there is interrupted (non-constant) scrolling. For around one second, depending on how fast the human input device is kept moving, the scrolled area within the sidebar: 1. stops moving 2. then restarts movement.
Can you please share a gif or a screen recording?
I'm gonna close this, it's true we had a problem with the left scroll bar but right now it's fixed. I need to apply the same fix to the right scroll bar, as we have in another PR, at some screen sizes the resources section is not visible.
Created attachment 244583 [details] Screenshot: the word 'Colophon' only temporarily invisible (In reply to Sergio Carlavilla Delgado from comment #2) Sorry for not providing this. It took a (very) slow back seat. (In reply to Sergio Carlavilla Delgado from comment #3) Confirmed fixed (at least, in the left sidebar). Big thanks. (In reply to comment #0) > … partially obscured link to 'FreeBSD Glossary' can become completely > obscured (by, for example, the URL hint that's integral to Firefox). > > The link to 'Colophon' is completely invisible. … No longer true; 'Colophon' can be scrolled into sight, then invisible only whilst obscured by e.g. the URL hint (screenshot attached).
