Spun off from bug 265127 comment 2.

At <https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/mirrors/#svn-intro>:

> … Changes from the git repo on the stable/11, stable/12 and
> related releng branches are exported to the subversion repository. …

<https://www.freebsd.org/security/#sup> stable/11 is no longer a supported release.

<https://www.freebsd.org/security/unsupported/> 11.4 became end of life 2021-09-30. <https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/log/?h=stable/11> shows a number of more recent commits, I can't guess whether any of these were exported to the Subversion repo …

… in any case, it's timely to remove stable/11 from this part of the FreeBSD Handbook.

Triage, batch edit (just one):

* for twenty-eight FreeBSD Handbook-related reports that had gained a
personal assignee, prior group/list assignee doc@ was
  missing from the CC list.

Gentle hint: <https://wiki.freebsd.org/Bugzilla/> ▶ do, don't …

<https://cgit.freebsd.org/doc/commit/?id=56d55c92b940c9755f8aba81f9253b93c238a8c1> (authored around a year ago, committed today) includes an 11 that could be changed to a 13.

In the Note under <https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/book/#svn>:

> … After March 2021, Subversion use is only for legacy branches
> (stable/11 and stable/12).

It's not yet clear whether there should remain a mention of stable/11 in this context.
