FreeBSD 10 is no longer supported.  This is probably the reason your download failed.

Please, upgrade to a supported FreeBSD version: https://www.freebsd.org/security/#sup

You will benefit from security updates and fixes that are not present in 10, along with improvements in performance, stability, etc.
