<https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-src/commit/8a3c868ab4e66ace70367b0ba943a324841d9a63> (2022-02-24, cherry-picked from 6d17f2d) to releng/13.1 and stable/13 was:

> freebsd-update.8: Document CreateBootEnv

*     changing freebsd-update.conf.5
* not changing      freebsd-update.8

<https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/85436/> observes automated creation of snapshots of boot environments with FreeBSD 12.3-RELEASE.

So, CreateBootEnv should also be documented in releng/12.3 and stable/12.

(Will a simple MFC suffice? I don't know enough about 12.3 to tell.)

Thank you

I'm sure we won't issue an errata for 12.3 to address that.

Regarding stable/12, it is doable. Someone has to provide a patch for that as a simple git cherry-pick results in conflicts from what I saw.

I won't be working on so this little project is up for grabs.
