For a FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE-p7 system, pkg 1.18.3 I tried to do a pkg upgrade, after some weeks of no upgrades, and the package grantleetheme-22.04.3 generates an error. The extraction is done 100%. but pkg reports: pkg: Fail to create temporary file: /usr/local/include/KF5/GrantleeTheme/GrantleeTheme/.pkgtemp.GenericFormatter.Cd2dH1f5r2iy:Not a directory Indeed, /usr/local/include/KF5/GrantleeTheme/GrantleeTheme is a 41 bytes file, whose contents are '#include "grantleetheme/grantleetheme.h" Because of this, I cannot login to KDE and be able to use the desktop.
Moin moin This issue is documented in the UPDATING file: 20220426: AFFECTS: users of deskutils/grantleetheme AUTHOR: kde@FreeBSD.org The pkg update of deskutils/grantleetheme to 22.04 can fail due to a filesystem location having changed from being a file to being a directory. This leads to pkg's temporary file creation throwing an error. To update to KDE Gear 22.04 please run # pkg delete -f grantleetheme prior to the update. mfg Tobias
Not quite sure what the best close-reason is for "this is known and documented and needs a specific action during upgrades", I've picked "Not Accepted".
