I'm testing the port on a qemu powerpc64 machine while trying to compile for powerpc
The tail of the log for poudriere testport -o devel/gobject-introspection
is

I created a new qemu image reinstalled Freebsd and everything worked! The error was definitely due a misconfiguration in my system rather than a problem with the package itself.
