Description Julien Cigar 2023-07-17 11:54:26 UTC
Hello,

I have a Supermicro A2SDi-2C-HLN4F with:

ahci0@pci0:0:19:0:      class=0x010601 rev=0x11 hdr=0x00 vendor=0x8086 device=0x19b2 subvendor=0x15d9 subdevice=0x0969
    vendor     = 'Intel Corporation'
    device = 'Atom Processor C3000 Series SATA Controller 0'
    class      = mass storage
    subclass   = SATA

and 4xTOSHIBA HDWG480 (N300) in a raidz2 and randomly I got tons of:

Dec  2 11:52:24 srv kernel: ahcich3: Timeout on slot 28 port 0
Dec  2 11:52:24 srv kernel: ahcich3: is 00000000 cs 10000000 ss 00000000 rs 10000000 tfd c0 serr 00000000 cmd 0004dc17
Dec  2 11:52:24 srv kernel: (ada3:ahcich3:0:0:0): FLUSHCACHE48. ACB: ea 00 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 00 00 00
Dec 2 11:52:24 srv kernel: (ada3:ahcich3:0:0:0): CAM status: Command timeout
Dec 2 11:52:24 srv kernel: (ada3:ahcich3:0:0:0): Retrying command, 0 more tries remain

I added hint.ahci.0.msi="0" to /boot/device.hints and since then problem no longer occurred.
