Would it be possible to switch to building it fully with LLVM, without GCC11?

The main problem is you need ldc 0.17 source code and it is no well supported for latest versions of llvm. The best solution is bootstrap ldc like openbsd maintainer did. Take a look at https://briancallahan.net/blog/20211020.html
