I was going to bump this to 1.44, but https://gitlab.freedesktop.org is unreachable for me as of time of writing. The freedesktop.org URLs have been undergoing server migration for the past month or so, and while this migration is reportedly complete "Our infrastructure migration is complete. Please remember to update your SSH remote to point to ssh.gitlab.freedesktop.org; SSH to the old hostname will time out. You should not see any problems apart from that. Please let us know if you do have any other issues." and I was able to access it ~12 hour ago, HTTP 504 is the current status (at least for the GitLab instance). Shame. I wanted to get started on GStreamer 1.26.1 too, but that'll have to wait.

manu@ are you also good with 1.44 when things come back online? It would seam silly to push 1.43 at this point.

Unless you see a big change (which I doubt) you can update to 1.44 directly (well just do two commits just in case).

gitlab.freedesktop.org seems to have come back to life in the meantime. I did the 1.44 update as a separate commit, as requested.
