Ahavhi brings in many other dependancies and is GPL licensed. In contrast, mDNSResponder has a more compatible license and requires very few other things to be installed.

In a perfect world, there would be a flavor with mDNSResponder and MIT Kerberos, and one with mDNSResponder and Heimdal, but if I had to choose, I would pick MIT. :-D
