The Handbook's page on firewalls <http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/firewalls.html> does not mention the firewall_type's feature mentioned in "man rc.conf". Since this feature makes setting up firewalls really easy, it really should be documented in the Handbook. Of course, I may be misunderstanding something. Fix: I'd be happy to write the documentation if some committer feels that it would be appropriate. How-To-Repeat: Read <http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/firewalls.html>.
If submitter is still willing to write up documentation for this PR, please submit it in plain text. I volunteer to SGML-ize it. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=docs/38772
Sorry, I'm not really appropriate for this task. My knowledge of the firewall is cursory at best. I only stumbled across the firewall_types by reading the source when trying to setup a firewall. :-/ Best Regards, -jj On Sun, 27 Feb 2005 22:46:17 +0100, Siebrand Mazeland <s.mazeland@xs4all.nl> wrote: > If submitter is still willing to write up documentation for this PR, please > submit it in plain text.
