Is this fixed in a recent 5.2-current?  I think Warner's power patches 
and the latest ACPI should help.

Indeed it has been working for quite some time, and it still does with the
latest ACPI import. I think we can close the PR.
(While I'm there, I want to thank you again, I'm really pleased by how well
my laptop runs with FreeBSD now, and I don't even have those ACPI error
messages I used to have, just one at boottime).
