XMMS usually crashes as soon as you try to play a file on amd64. Fix: Add the following as ports/multimedia/xmms/files/patch-amd64: How-To-Repeat: Start XMMS, open a file and play it. Repeat until it crashes (it should not take more than 3 or 4 tries.)
FWIW, I have noticed that XMMS still crashes occasionally after applying this patch. There must be something else still wrong, but the patch is still a definite improvement. Tim
State Changed From-To: open->feedback Yes, I can confirm that it does not crash that often. Just one question, why do we need to include string.h in various files? It compiles fine without.
Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-ports-bugs->arved I am doing amd64-ports
State Changed From-To: feedback->closed committed, thanks.
