Although the kernel attempts to load, and in 5.2.1 the opening options screen appears, when you attempt to go further the machine hangs for a few seconds before powering down. Using any options (such as disabling ACPI, makes no difference). The debug option shows ACPI being loaded and then nothing else. I suspect its unsupported chipsets thats causing the problem - but if anyone can advise if this is a known problem or a fix-around then please advise. How-To-Repeat: Installing on a Compaq!
