Description paulbeard 2005-01-22 18:20:26 UTC
	[/opt/ports/emulators/linux_base-8]# make install
	===>  Installing for linux_base-8-8.0_6
	kern.fallback_elf_brand: 3 -> 3
	redhat-release-8.0-8.noarch.rpm
	error: failed to open /etc/mnttab: No such file or directory
	glibc-common-2.3.2-4.80.8.i386.rpm
	error: failed to open /etc/mnttab: No such file or directory
	error: execution of %post scriptlet from glibc-common-2.3.2-4.80.8 failed, exit status 0
	*** Error code 1

	Stop in /opt/ports/emulators/linux_base-8.

How to fix the fruitless search for /etc/mnttab (more an annoyance than
anything else: the issues with the %post install script are what's
hanging me up.

How-To-Repeat: make install seems to provoke it.

Hi,

do you still have this problem with an up-to-date RELENG_4 system? There
where some fixes committed to the linux emulation which may fix your
problem.

Bye,
Alexander.
