Description Mohacsi Janos 2005-07-01 12:30:21 UTC
vmware3-3.2.1.2242_11,1 fails to compile on FreeBSD 6.0-CURRENT.
	with the
/usr/ports/emulators/vmware3/work/vmware-distrib/vmmon-only/freebsd/driver.c:172: error: unknown field `d_maj' specified in initializer

This is is probablly due to the not very recent rework of device major
	number handling in FreeBSD kernel.

Not known.
How-To-Repeat: Try compiling vmware3 on FreeBSD 6.0-CURRENT

6.0-current is a bit old now. If you are still using it, please update
as vmware3 compiles OK on a fresh 6.0-RELEASE install.

The same problem is reported in ports/88852 for 6.0-RELEASE, but I
suspect it is a problem with the build environment. Please track
that PR if you continue to have problems.
