Description Nicolas Le Scouarnec 2005-11-09 19:40:18 UTC
I recently updated from 5.4-RELENG to 6.0-RELEASE. I noticed my computer
sometimes hangs at boot. It hangs after detecting ehci0, at the point marked
with *** . I think I can't use debugging features as my keyboard has not been
initialized yet when the computer hang.

I copy the result of working try, I can't copy the result of non-working,
I may try to get some lines, with a pen...

I can't say if the detection is exactly the same
The computer is a Pentium4, with an Intel 865 chipset, on an
MSI 865PE Neo2 series motherboard.

How-To-Repeat: Booting ? Sometimes it works (1/3), sometimes it doesn't. I would
say that pressing enter before booting make it works sometimes ?
I don't know at all.

This problem must have been fixed, as I don't have anymore hangs at
boot. It can be closed.

My current version system (recompiled just after a cvsup).

I noticed that in fact, it still does not work, as it's completely
random. It may not work 9 times and work on the tenth resetting, or it
may work at first time (without reseting). My computer still get
frozen during boot sequence, when detecting ehci.

I don't know why and can't use the debugger as the keyboard has not yet
been initialized.
