Description Andrew Stevenson 2014-05-11 14:30:00 UTC
IIUC RSMB has been superseded by the open source Mosquitto project:

http://projects.eclipse.org/projects/technology.mosquitto

So this port should now be removed. If there is demand a mosquitto port should
be added but I'm not aware of such demand currently.

Is one of the ports in the list related to the Mosquitto project you mention?

http://www.freshports.org/search.php?query=mosquit&search=go&num=10&stype=name&method=match&deleted=excludedeleted&start=1&casesensitivity=caseinsensitive

If yes, to which one should users move?

Andrew, we're stuck on this, we need your feedback.
Comment 3 Andrew Stevenson 2014-07-22 22:10:48 UTC
Sorry, it's taken me a few attempts to convince the new bug system to let me comment.

http://www.freshports.org/net/mosquitto/ is the port of the software in question.

Committed to MOVED (the port has already been marked DEPRECATED). Thank you very much.
Comment 7 John Marino freebsd_committer freebsd_triage 2014-08-13 20:51:05 UTC
I think you go ahead and remove the port, otherwise back out the MOVED entry. We have to remove MOVED entries when ports are resurrected, so "they" don't like to see entries for existing ports.

I vote for removal right now rather than reverting MOVED commit.
