Description M. Voorhis 2023-07-18 12:06:17 UTC
The pkg-message for security/heimdal mentions a kerberos database upgrade which must be done if base-system heimdal users wish to upgrade to heimdal from the ports.

The pkg-message says: "Please read 20161112 in /usr/ports/UPDATING carefully to upgrade your database." But the UPDATING entry from 20161112 no longer exists -- it was trimmed as part of regular maintenance on or about 12 May 2023, looking at the git-logs for the UPDATING file.

Perhaps the heimdal database upgrade instructions could be placed into the port directory? Text in pkg-message referring to the UPDATING entry could be replaced with the instructions themselves.

Thanks all,
