That is correct, DNSMax and ThatIP are no longer open to the general public for new accounts. However the perl update client it is still used by the existing userbase.

If this port is removed, users can manually install the update application via manual installation from https://www.dynamicdnsclient.com/perl/ and we will update the instructions for FreeBSD to not mention the availability of the pkg.
