Improved wording because the rc script's defaults aren't the same as sndiod's. Thanks to debdrup for asking to clarify that.

I'm sorry but I don't like it. Sndio will work out of the box
without any setup and transparently in the simplest case and using
sndiod is optional. This pkg-message gives the impression that you
must run sndiod to use audio/sndio which is just plain wrong.
Oh, I see, just tried things again without sndiod and indeed it is not necessary; I guess this assumption remained from a previous test phase. Thank you and sorry for the noise. |
