Description schmidt 2008-02-18 09:40:00 UTC
I have an USB Harddisk mounted. It gets detached without propper umount.

umount the filesystem fails due to a readerror (expected)

when i try a umount -f freebsd panics.

The same error in FreeBSD 7

Fix:

n/k
How-To-Repeat: mount an USB Harddisk
diskconnect the Harddisk without umount
umount -f the filesystem -> Crash

Another filesystem doesn't prevent the crash.

ISO9660 panics on the normal umount.
UFS freezes after umount (not forces)

Testsystem:
FreeBSD wanderer.augusta.de 7.0-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 7.0-PRERELEASE #1:
Tue Feb 19 14:51:56 CET 2008
root@wanderer.augusta.de:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/WANDERER i386

CVSuped on saturday.
