================================

The installation was successfull, but the GENERIC kernel panic at boot, even with ACPI disabled. After a recompilation (in single user mode) with the options below, the system is able to boot and doesn't panic anymore. I essentially removed useless drivers, USB support, etc :

Comment 2 Dennis Berger 2008-04-07 16:29:08 UTC
I experienced the same error today after an upgrade from 7.0BETA4 to
7.0RELEASE :-(
Any idea how to avoid this?
regards,
dennis
Comment 3 Julien Cigar 2008-04-08 10:32:56 UTC
- boot in single user mode
- mount filesystems (mount -a)
- recompile kernel
- reboot

This is my custom file if it can help http://pastebin.com/f145def72

Regards,
Julien
