If a custom kernel (one compiled with my hardware's configuration specified) is placed on the boot disk before installation, the bindist will overwrite the /kernel that is copied to the hard disk during the earlier copy of /kernel from the boot disk. Fix: Don't put /kernel in the bindist. A documented workaround for users would be to replace /kernel by copying it from the boot floppy after the bindist has been extracted. How-To-Repeat: Install FreeBSD 2.0-ALPHA from bindist with a custom kernel
State Changed From-To: open->closed Behavior is not a bug.
