Problem with Laptop Dell Vostro 3700.

The Laptop emits a high pitched noise during boot. Immediately after the detection of four CPUs.
The problem is the same under XFCE.
The shaking of a window temporarily stops the noise. Compiling an application also stop the sound working time of compilation.
The problem is identical with the i386 version.
The problem does not exist with Ubuntu 10.04 or Windows7.

Thank for help.

How-To-Repeat: Noise appears at the detection of processors from the start of the installation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Responsible Changed
From-To: freebsd-bugs->freebsd-i386

This sounds like it could be machine-specific.
