Tried to install FreeBSD 8.1 RELEASE from .iso file (FreeBSD-8.1-RELEASE-i386-disc1.iso) on the virtual server (Microsoft). During ports collection installation (custom installation) I've got error: panic: ufs_dirbad: /mnt: bad dir ino 1107114 at offset 0: mangled entry cpuid = 0 uptime: 6m12s Cannot dump. Device not defined or unavailable... If I install FreeBSD without ports collections I've got problems after final reboot: BTX loader 1.00 BTX version is 1.02 int=0000000d err=00000000 efl=00010206 eip=0002e4f0 eax=ffffffff ebx=00000000 ecx=00000000 edx=00095bb8 esi=00000000 edi=00044780 ebp=00094bf8 esp=00094bc4 cs=002b dc=0033 es=0033 fs=0033 gs=0033 ss=0033 cs:eip=01 00 c7 44 24 04 b3 07-03 00 89 1c 24 e8 6e f2 ff ff c7 44 24 0c 03 00-00 00 c7 44 24 08 20 04 ss:esp=a0 01 00 00 a0 30 04 00-38 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 BTX halted I can't manage virtual server, so I want to know reasons of this problem.

There's not enough information here to know whether or not this is still a problem. We've rewritten, in large part, the boot loader. So if this still happens in FreeBSD 11 or 12, please file a new bug report and cc me.
