Random KDE ports seem to crash in the middle of their builds ever since the pkg-fallout list was created and the build logs were made public. They are all crashes in devel/automoc4, such as http://beefy2.isc.freebsd.org/bulk/83amd64-default/2013-12-18_10h23m34s/logs/kate-4.10.5_1.log Looking at the pkg-fallout archives, the crashes seem to happen much more often (or at all) on 8.3 and 9.1. Any sort of help would be useful (storing core dumps, getting backtraces etc), right now there's basically nothing we (kde@) can do.
Responsible Changed From-To: freebsd-ports-bugs->portmgr Over to portmgr. bapt asked me to file this PR.
Hi, There was an issue with automoc that I reported to KDE [1]. Although this issue involved a freeze and not a crash, it could be related. Regards, 1) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276461

I believe automoc has been merged into CMake (although that will only be in effect for KDE 5) and that a C++ only version has been made (which might be useful as a fixed replacement).
is it still an issue?
It's hard to be precise here because kde@ does not receive pkg-fallout email and many KDE ports are ignored on !HEAD due to the Mesa version, but looking at beefy1 and beefy2's latest run there don't seem to have been any random crashes in the KDE ports.

Has been fixed in the meantime.
